Power Rankings Week 15

Okay so I decided to change up the look a little bit to the blog since its now crunch time in the NFL. Some teams are fighting for a playoff spot, some are battling for position and seeding, and some are just resting starters and cruising. I am nw only going to rank the teams in the NFL who are either in the playoffs or still are alive for a playoff spot, the rest of the teams didnt put in enough effort to win more games, so I wont put in the effort to order them. There are 16 teams left that are either in the playoffs or fighting for a spot. Ill give you my opinion on them and there playoff scenario.

1. New England Patriots (14-0)- Have home-field advantage wrapped up and are playing for nothing. Except for that whole undefeated season thing

2. Indianapolis Colts (12-2)- Are locked in at the 2 seed in the AFC and also have nothing to play for, but Dungy said the starters will play the entire game to keep the team in rhythm

3. Green Bay Packers (12-2)- This team is playing like a machine, and now are only one more Cowboys loss away from having home-field advantage throughout

4. Dallas Cowboys (12-2)- Playing some really shaky football the last two weeks, barely beating the Lions and now laying an egg at home against the Eagles. They still control there own destiny for the 1 seed in the NFC. I wont mention anything about Jessica Simpson being the reason the Cowboys lost because thats ludacris

5. Jacksonville Jaguars (10-4)- Proved they are not just a warm weather team this past Sunday. I thought of a scenario that the Jags will probably have to go through. Its possible the Jacksonville goes am amazing 12-4, and there road to the Superbowl will be @ Pittsburgh, @ New England, @ Indianapolis. For a team to go 12-4 and still have to win those three games to get to the Superbowl just proves how damn good the AFC really is

6. San Diego Chargers (9-5)- One of the hottest teams in the NFL right now, and definitely a team no one wants to play in the playoffs. They took the inside track on the 3 seed in the AFC with Pittsburgh playing like shit

7. Pittsburgh Steelers (9-5)- Playing like total shit. The fact of the matter is that this team has no problem winning on talent alone. Its games when they need talent and coaching that they suck at. Which is exactly why if you throw out the Miami win since nothing can be taken out of that slop shit, there record is 1-4 in games decided by 7 pts or less. They have no problem winning in blowouts when they are more talented, but when you need coaching and adjustments in the close ones the Steelers blow. And this concludes my rant about Mike Tomlin.

8. Cleveland Browns- (9-5)- Won the snow bowl against the Bills and now have a magic number of 1 to get in the playoffs. Either a win or a TEN loss gets them in. They play the Bengals and 49ers the last 2 games, so they should have no problem clinching there first playoff spot since 2003

9. Seattle Seahawks- (9-5)- They just cannot travel to the East coast and win. Hasselbeck made a good point when he said that it could be the east coast games for them are like starting at 10am seattle time. Excuse or not they need to find a way to win on the road or they will have no chance to come out of the NFC

10. Tampa Bay Bucs (9-5)- Jeff Garcia looks to go on another run like he did last year with the Eagles, i peronsally think they are a sleeper team and could make some noise in the playoffs

11. Minnesota Vikings (8-6)- Okay so the Vikings finally start playing Tavaris Jackson full-time and they have won 5 in a row, thanks for finally listneing to me Childress. Jackson put up a stinker monday night, but hey it was the guys first primetime Monday night game

12. Tennessee Titans- (8-6)- Need help to get in, and if they lose then they wrap up playoff spots for a lot of teams. They werent expected to make much noise this year, so still having a chance this late helps them in the future

13. Washignton Redskins (7-7)- Obviously the emotional pick by many people. They have the biggest game of the year for them in Minnesota this week. This they win I say they make the playoffs, if they lose the Vikings basically wrap it up

14. New York Giants (9-5)- They pretty much are in the playoffs, but they have to win this week because the Patriots are waiting for them in Week 17. Losing Shockey is why i put them way down here cause without Shockey on Sunday, Eli went 18-52 passing.

15. New Orleans Saints (7-7)- They might fall one game short this year. When people said that the double reverse fumble would cost them the season, they were right. Pack it up this year, and give it a shot next year when they get healthy again

16. Carolina Panthers (6-8)- Barely alive, really have no chance to make the playoffs. Vinny Testaverde said he would be so shocked if they made it that he would retire after the season, is that really whats going to get him to retire??? Go Panthers then...
